Why riding outdoor if the weather isn't good to row outdoor on water ?
- Lots of rower are rowing in the rain, bad weather for rowers are waves, wind, or pieces of woods on the river after little storms. When rowers are rowing inddor, most of the time it is on sunny and windy days, the best weather to ride outdoor.

Why rowing instead of pedaling ?
- While pedaling you only use leg muscles and you need to go to fitness club if you want to have nice biceps, shoulders, abdoms and back muscles ... while rowing you're developping all these muscles without going to the fitness club.

Is Aviroute a recumbent bike ?
- NO ! Recumbents are pedaling bikes, even if they are more performant or more comfortable they are only leg powered vehicules. Aviroute is whole body powered bike

Is Aviroute a arm powered bike ?
- NO ! Lots of people think Aviroute is an arm powered vehicule : you can use it as an arm powered bike if you try not to use your legs and back but you quickly realise that with only arms you can't ride more than one mile. The right use of the Aviroute is with a rowing motion : a legs, back and arm motion.

Why is Aviroute different for the other "rowing bike" ?
- Some arm and legs powered called "rowing bike" use the word "rowing" instead of "bastard". The rowing motion is the motion of rowers on water or on indoor rowing machine : Feet are motionless, the rower is sat on a sliding seat and his hands can move up/down and back/font with freedom.
A rowing bike without a sliding seat ISN'T a rowing bike
A rowing bike with a constraint motion of the hands ISN'T a rowing bike

Why use Aviroute instead of a regular bike ?
- While riding on a regular bike you only develop your leg muscles, if you ride too much you will become ugly with two muscled legs on a bad body. If you row too much you will look like a perfect fitness club addict : you will have nice muscles from the shoulders to the feet.

Why use Aviroute instead of a regular indoor rowing machine ?
The rowing motion of the aviroute is the same of the concept2 inddor rowing machine. If you expect to row indoor only, then buy a concept2, but if you like to see landscapes then buy an Aviroute. It is more expensive, but you can use it as an indoor rowing machine and sometimes you can use it outdoor instead of a bike.
Rowing one hour indoor is boring but rowing 30 miles in two hours on roads is a real pleasure !

I am not a rower, can I expect to ride an Aviroute ?
- If you already know how to ride a regular bike you will be able to ride an Aviroute in less than 5 minutes.
If you don't know how to row you won't be able to ride more than 20 miles the first times : that's not because you need very big arm muscles, but you will need some days to learn the best motion to use the legs and back muscles in order to save you arm muscles.

How fast can I expect to ride with an Aviroute ?
- On short distances you can expect to go faster than with a regular bike but on long distance speeds are the same.
On short distance you can use all the muscles of your body and go faster than the legs powered regular bikes, but on long distances your heart will be the weakest link and it won't be able to give enough blood to the muscles.
With very special hard trainning you can develop your heart more than a rider heart and expect to go faster than a rider even on long distance.

Can I ride uphill with an Aviroute ?
- Of course. Aviroute has been developped in Savoie (Alps - France), the worst roads of the "Tour de France". With the 5 speed derailleur Aviroute 2K-20 you can almost go on every uphill paved roads.
On more than 10% uphills roads if you're not well trainned you will have the feeling that at each cycle of the motion the bike stops and you will certainly prefer to walk and push your Aviroute. :-)

Can I ride in the streets with an Aviroute ?
- After some hours of trainning you will be able to slalom as with a regular bike and you can safely ride in streets without troubles.

How is the Aviroute steering mechanism ?
- Aviroute is a hand steering bike : turn left with your hands and the front wheel turns left ! It is easy to handle.

Can I ride an Aviroute on unpaved roads ?
- Aviroute is designed for paved roads but you can ride on unpaved roads. Be carefull : on really bad trails if your riding fast you could be ejected of your seat faster than with a regular bike.
